The building of the Religious Ministry in Ashdod was set ablaze (Sunday), according to a fire investigator from the city's fire and rescue system. The event ended with no casualties.
Firefighters took control of the fire that broke out in the building on Henrietta Szold Street tonight, after a report was received by the guard at a location that identified flames in the basement of the three-story building.
"During their arrival, the crews noticed a great deal of smoke coming out of the basement and immediately the event commander split the forces into several sections, with the main mission being a scan and rescue including locating the hotline," Ashdod firefighters and rescue said.
Event Chief Rabbi Reshef Gabi Azulay said: "As we entered the building, we noticed several fires and immediately began fire extinguishing and smoke-free operations. Instead, five fire crews were working.
