The Director of Agriculture, Engineer Rajab Salameh, stated in a statement to a SANA reporter that the damaged area planted with wheat amounted to 1110 hectares and barley 740 hectares scattered in various areas of the province, especially in the southern and western countryside and the countryside surrounding the city of Hasaka, noting that this entire area had left the production circle.

The engineer attributed the safety of the causes of the fires to the high temperatures and the dumping of cigarettes after the agricultural areas near public roads and the failure to install spark exhausts in the harvesters and tractors that carry out the harvest, in addition to the deliberate fires of lands planted with wheat and barley by the Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries in the countryside of the Tel Tamr region The northern and the American occupation forces in the countryside of Al-Shaddadi, south of the governorate.

The assistant director of agriculture and agrarian reform in Daraa, Engineer Bassam Al-Hashish, stated in a similar statement that the causes of the fires are unknown and distributed in the areas of Sharia, Shaara, Izraa and Saida, adding that the governorate has developed an integrated plan to combat crop fires by providing all the mechanisms and tanks and distributing the supporting mechanisms to the agricultural areas.

The deputy director of agriculture and agrarian reform in Daraa called on citizens to preserve agricultural crops and all bear their responsibilities in a way that ensures the success of the harvest process and the supply of all production to marketing centers.

The area planted with irrigated wheat and Baal in Daraa during the current agricultural season reached 77,950 hectares, out of the planned plan of 84,942 hectares.

In Homs, the Directorate of Agriculture developed a comprehensive plan in coordination with several agencies to avoid fires and work to control them immediately in the event of their occurrence.

Engineer Nazih Al-Rifai, the Director of Homs Agriculture, said in a statement to SANA correspondent that the Directorate allocated 17 tanks for extinguishing them, which were distributed to seven forested areas, which are Nazareth .. Al-Rifai pointed out that individual firefighting pumps were purchased to deal with fires in slopes and rugged areas and the purchase of fire-proof masks and ambulance bags to be distributed to fire teams in the sites. Firefighting places were also equipped with everything necessary, indicating that with the beginning of this month a plan for straw and road renovation was initiated Forestry.

Al-Rifai confirmed that the Agriculture Directorate works in coordination with the fire brigade and the rest of the concerned authorities by taking all preventive measures and intensifying efforts and securing the necessary equipment from firefighting machines and mechanisms, calling for the necessity of farmers and citizens to be bound by instructions, instructions and advice to avoid agricultural crop fires during the summer.
