Five former collaborators describe “repeated humiliations” at work and words of a sexist, racist and homophobic nature.

The former collaborators of the deputy LREM Laëtitia Avia will file a complaint against the latter for "moral harassment", announced their lawyer, Me Maud Sobel, in a press release reported by BFMTV.

On May 12, Mediapart had relayed in an article the testimonies of five former collaborators of the deputy, who is at the origin of the law intended to fight against hatred on the Internet.

Former collaborators accuse the member of illegal managerial practices and acts of moral harassment. Denouncing "false and incoherent accusations", Laëtitia Avia had announced her intention to "file a complaint for defamation".

Sexism, racism and homophobia

In all, five former collaborators agreed to testify, describing “repeated humiliations” at work and sexist, racist and homophobic remarks made by the elected official. The member who leads a fight in favor of the rights of LGBT people would also fall into sexism and homophobia, still according to Mediapart. Similarly, his colleagues would also be the subject of remarks and sexist insults, assure several ex-parliamentary assistants.

In addition to his remarks, the five former parliamentary assistants denounce exhausting managerial practices, such as text messages very early in the morning. Some would also have been given missions that are not part of their job, namely "manage personal meetings", says one of his team members. Finally, certain practices used by Laetitia Avia would be contrary to labor law, the survey further underlines.

The deputy must speak Monday evening before the executive office of LREM, of which she is a member, "but there is no convocation or hearing on the agenda" related to this case, learned l 'AFP with the movement.

Mediapart regrets these dysfunctions have been reported to the President of the National Assembly, Richard Ferrand and to the anti-harassment cell of the chamber, without any results so far.
