Alicia Kappers contracted the virus when she was 31 weeks pregnant and her husband rushed her to the hospital when it was difficult for her to breathe. The doctors put her in an induced coma so they could bring Laith into the world. Fortunately, the little boy tested negative for the virus and the new mom was able to meet her son more than a month after delivery.
