Regatta time is back

2020-05-18T06:35:15.470Z

NEW - Frédérique Constant presents its new watch with a regatta countdown, the Yacht Timer Regatta Countdown.

Last year, the watchmaking house that made affordable luxury its trademark reinterpreted one of its models born in 1997, with a visual countdown for lovers of regattas. This room was equipped with a countdown function to mark the last ten minutes before it could cross the start line of a regatta.

This year, Frédérique Constant is offering its Yacht Timer Regatta Countdown with a 42 mm case in polished steel and a steel bracelet. On its gray dial, the large hour and minute hands are complemented by an orange hand adding a touch of sportiness. At noon, we find the five openings that form the flagship complication of this watch: its regatta countdown. Here, each point at the top of the dial represents one minute. Pressing the top button starts the first count: it gradually changes all the dots from gray to white. When the five dots are white, five minutes have passed.

The second count begins automatically, that of the last five minutes before the start. This time, the five dots gradually color orange. When the last point has turned orange and the second hand is at noon, the regatta is officially started.

Water-resistant to 100 meters, the Yacht Timer Regatta Countdown embeds the FC-380 automatic movement with a power reserve of 48 hours, and visible through the transparent background. This regatta watch is offered with a second rubber strap, to durably resist the spray.
