Iran's permanent representative to the United Nations, Majeed Takht Rwandi, reiterated his country's position calling for the illegal withdrawal of foreign forces from Syrian territory.
The Iranian news agency, IRNA, quoted Takht Rawanji as saying today during a meeting of the Security Council via video on the situation in Syria: Al-Balad ”indicating that the American forces supporting terrorist organizations occupy parts of Syrian territory under the cover of fighting terrorism.
The Tuwarangi sister also renewed his country's position calling for a political solution to the crisis in Syria, indicating that only the Syrian people decide their country's future and that the international community should provide support to the Syrians in the context of achieving this.
Takht Rouenji stressed that the repeated Israeli attacks on Syria are a flagrant violation of international laws and the United Nations Charter, stressing the necessity of stopping it, noting that the occupation of the Syrian Golan is illegal by Israel, and therefore the US announcement regarding it is invalid.
