In the automotive industry, health protocols are starting to be tested. On the assembly lines, the workers had to get used to the plexiglass walls in addition to the conventional equipment (masks, gloves, glasses, visors) to avoid contact with their colleagues. The ramp-up will be very gradual because manufacturers must sell their stocks before producing new vehicles. But also because they must ensure health security on their sites. Renault estimates its current production capacity at 30-50% of that before the crisis. "We want to avoid" stop and go "in production at all costs , " says PSA, who cites the example of Volkswagen.
