The Jewish community in Italy has reported a sharp rise in inquiries from Jewish families over the past two weeks for assistance in purchasing food baskets and financial aid for paying bills. The community in Rome last week distributed about a thousand food baskets for families and the operations of distribution baskets also took place in the cities; Milan, Genoa, Naples, Venice, Livorno, Verona, Bologna, Turin, Pisa and Ancona.
