After almost a week of meat in its various forms, we finally reached the more favorite part of the family - milky. The first to reach our doorstep was the Waffle Factory, which of course serves up sweet and delicious, but also milky food. The Factory belongs to a group of restaurateurs in Jerusalem who are also responsible for the "Jacko" hosted in the section, as well as other restaurants in the Jerusalem food scene. The Corona crisis forced some of them to move, and we sat down in the air-conditioned living room to check.



Greek salad opened the meal. The interpretations of many restaurants in the country for "Greek salad" are different and varied, and as someone who has lived in Greece for a number of years - most often have nothing to do with the original. The factories went more or less on the basic (the lettuce didn't belong), the amount of cheese in the salad was generous and the vegetables were fresh and not "tired". While in Greece, the vegetables are cut rougher and bigger, but the Israeli taste likes "thin", as in Arab salad.

Sweet potato salad and sautéed crackers was excellent. The sweet potatoes were made precisely, just before they were too soft and smeared on the other ingredients, and the crackles complemented the sweet taste of the sweet potatoes. And it cost me dearly: "You have to learn to do this," the wives of the family ruled, sending me respectfully to the kitchen.



The ravioli in rosé sauce was cooked to the right, the sauce was thick and flavourful and no complaints were recorded. Tuna rolls and egg surprised: The combination seemed to push eastward, but it was delicate in taste, not the well-known Hamindus (and notorious afterwards ...) The tuna also did not overcook and retained its taste. Many expectations, but the execution was just perfect.



And we reached the highlight, the Belgian waffle. There is a built-in problem here: It's hard to pass on the experience of the hot waffle that melts the chocolate and ice cream that usually joins it - on a delivery platform. This sweet sweet is usually eaten hot and steamy, and not out of a plastic box. But all this was known in advance - there are the "genre restrictions," and in Corona, we - and especially the kids - say thank you for all the sweetness that comes. The Belgian waffle came in a styrofoam box and, due to the weather, managed to keep a little warm. But with plastic jars attached, all the sweet land came: chocolates, candies, and more. A short round of some of the jars in the microwave filled the house with scents that alerted the neighbors' children. As the hot chocolate poured over the waffle, we were there for a moment at the Ghost Factory restaurant in Ghost Valley, smelling the sweet aroma from the huge pile of corruption served with distillation, far from Corona, far and sweet.
