Today, the Egyptian health authorities announced the registration of 745 new infections with the new Corona virus, bringing the number of people infected since the beginning of the outbreak to 14229, while the number of deaths rose to 680 after recording 21 new deaths.
Khaled Mujahid, a spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, said in a statement that the total number registered in Egypt with the new Corona Virus to date is 14,229 cases, including 3994 cases that have been cured and discharged from isolation and quarantine hospitals and 680 deaths.
This is the third day in a row that Egypt recorded the highest daily rate of Corona injuries, as it had recorded 720 cases yesterday, while on Monday it recorded 535 new cases.
Egypt, which monitored the first confirmed infection with the virus last February, applies general isolation measures since last March that included the closure of schools, universities, sports clubs, cafes and places of large gatherings, and imposes a partial curfew.
