The Jordanian authorities announced the imposition of a comprehensive curfew for a period of three days, starting from midnight on Thursday, against the backdrop of the high incidence of HIV infections, with 23 new infections recorded today.

The Minister of State for Information Affairs, Amjad Al-Adayleh, said in statements reported by Ammon News Agency that in light of the developments of the epidemiological situation in the country, the number of cases increased significantly and the necessity to limit meetings, gatherings and spatial mixing, it was decided to amend the procedures followed during Eid Al-Fitr, indicating that things will return to normal from next Monday.

In turn, the Jordanian Minister of Health, Dr. Saad Jaber, announced the registration of 23 new cases of the emerging coronavirus, taking the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic to 672.

Jaber pointed out that four different governorates recorded injuries today, as the conditions of these governorates are tracked.

The Ministry of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites in Jordan announced yesterday that Eid Al-Fitr prayers will be held in homes in compliance with preventive measures to address the Corona virus.
