Today, the Ministry of Education issued a health emergency plan during the general exams period for the academic year 2019 - 2020, as part of the measures taken to address the Corona virus, and in the interest of the health and safety of students, students, and workers in all exam centers.
In a statement, SANA received a copy of it today, the Ministry specified the number of students in each examination hall between 15 and 20 students with two monitors, ensuring that students are approximately 1.5 meters apart, stressing the sterilization of all test centers from “floors, walls, windows, stairs, bathrooms, and furniture” before the exam and daily sterilization of surfaces In the examination center “seats, doors, drawers, offices and tables” after the exam and the workers ’exit from the center in addition to sterilizing hands for students, observers, delegates and visitors upon entering the exam center and wearing gloves when any contact with students For preventive inspection before the exam with hands sterilized after every contact.
The Ministry pointed out that the masks are only used during the exam for sick students to prevent the spread of infection and will be delivered to them free of charge within the exam center exclusively and to prevent any student from taking the exam outside the exam centers, whether it is in hospitals or health centers.
The Ministry emphasized the establishment of a one-day awareness seminar for heads of exam centers and education delegates in each governorate where the head of the school health department will train them on ways to prevent HIV infection and health measures to be taken in exam centers during the exam and mechanisms to deal with some emergency cases among students and answer their inquiries This is part of a specific training plan, as well as the distribution of posters throughout the centers to raise awareness about the disease, means of prevention and methods of infection, and put them in clear and easy-to-read places.
The Ministry called to avoid crowding when students enter and exit the exam center by following a special mechanism that organizes this gradually, in addition to avoiding gatherings of students and their families near the exam center in cooperation with the police elements at the center door and distributing students to exam centers closest to their homes to help them arrive from Without the use of transportation.
The Ministry indicated that it coordinates fully with the Health Directorate with regard to the distribution of medical teams, emergency centers and ambulances, indicating that it has allocated an administrative room in each test center to isolate sick students who have positive cases of Corona virus if their health condition allows this after proving the case from the reference laboratory of the Ministry Health to be fully coordinated with the Ministry of Health and the School Health Directorate in these cases and work to fully equip the emergency centers and health center and provide the ambulance bags and necessary medicines for him as well as the presence of an ambulance in front of each fully equipped emergency center If this is not possible in some centers, work to secure cars to transport medical teams to the test centers by the education directorates in the concerned governorates.
The Ministry indicated the formation of a central committee in each governorate headed by the governor and the membership of both the director of education, the director of health and the police chief in the relevant governorate. Its mission is to follow up the implementation of the procedures outlined in the emergency plan and deal with any emergency in an optimal way, calling its directorates in all governorates to adhere to the content of health procedures during the exam period The public that will start on the twenty-first of next June.
On May 10, the Ministry of Education approved a health plan to implement it during the course of general exams, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health.
