An indictment was filed Wednesday against a 40-year-old Haifa area resident for incitement to violence after posting to his Facebook page publications calling for the assassination of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu inciting serious acts of violence.
In the indictment filed by the Haifa District Attorney's Office with Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit's court in Hadera, the defendant attributes to the defendant four publications calling for the commission of violence and praise, sympathy or encouraging, supporting or identifying with violence. The indictment filed by Adv. Noa Burg also states that, based on the content of the publications and the circumstances in which they were uploaded to the Facebook account, there is a real possibility of committing a violent act.
For example, last April, the defendant shared a post by MK Amir Peretz, photographed with MK Itzik Shmuli. In a post, Peretz wrote that he thanked Labor party delegates for approving the unity government. In collaboration with this post, the defendant wrote: "Your traitors are dead."
In another post a few days ago, the defendant posted a post in which he wrote: "Life ... I don't have that either ... So I'm ready to be the 'monkey' sitting in prison if you murder Benjamin Netanyahu ... just say you got a directive from me."
The defendant later posted another post saying, "Benjamin Netanyahu betrayed the State of Israel ... He is accused by the State of Israel of treason! Breach of trust! Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that the State President planned a political coup against him ... "A symbol of the State of Israel Duffy ... Slime ... Charge fraudulently for dishonesty .... Read for yourself ...."
He wrote in the post: "The same Reuben Rivlin on behalf of civil and the State of Israel who accuses Benjamin of Netanyahu of treason for breach of trust, gave the same Benjamin Netanyahu to whom he slammed and blamed honestly the trust to form a government that he heads! Protect you ... just do it already please it is unbearable ... it is required! It is the most conscientious and moral duty there! Put this story as the end of its beginning!
