Luxembourg Foreign Minister Jan Asselborn warned the entity of the Israeli occupation against carrying out a plan to annex parts of the West Bank, stressing that it is a flagrant violation of international law.
Aselborn said, according to what Wafa news agency reported today, that the annexation plan will undermine any opportunity for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, and Israel must be prevented from implementing this plan.
On the so-called "Deal of the Century", the Luxembourg Foreign Minister indicated that it deviates from recognized international standards, stressing the need to respect international law and relevant decisions issued by the United Nations General Assembly and the Security Council and agreed international standards.
The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that his government will start discussions on the first of next July about the occupation plans to annex parts of the West Bank, while the Palestinian Foreign Ministry renewed its condemnation of these statements, stressing that it undermines any opportunity to establish an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967 with its capital Jerusalem .
