Shortly after the World Health Organization pointed out that Latin America is the "new epicenter" of the coronavirus, Brazil became the second country with the most cases in the world on Friday, only behind the United States, confirming more than 20,000 new infections.
In total, Brazil registers 330,890 positive cases, with 1,001 new deaths, bringing the total number of fatalities to 21,048.
On a day when politics and Justice won the scene in the country amid the scandal due to the video of a Cabinet meeting that the Supreme Court ordered to publish and that may compromise President Jair Bolsonaro, Brazil had another record day of new cases.
