The Homs and Civil Defense firefighting regiment, in cooperation with the people, managed to control a major fire that broke out in the village of al-Hishma in the western countryside of Homs and spread to the lands of the villages of Taysa and al-Sindiyanah.
In a statement to Lana, Colonel Othman Jouda, commander of the Homs Fire Brigade, indicated that the fire affected about forty dunums in the three villages, indicating that the area where the fire broke out is a mountainous area and includes olive trees and forest trees.
For his part, Brigadier General Ghiath Akel, Director of Civil Defense in Homs, explained that the fire started within an olive tree field in the village of Al-Hishmeh on the road of Homs Masyaf with an area of fifteen dunums and then spread to the neighboring villages as a result of the air, indicating that the fire was controlled before it spread to a larger area and caused it It is warming.
