Because the bitch is in a bad way: a misalignment of the right front leg, two toes are missing including the pads on a hind paw, the tail has two kinks. It remains unclear whether an abuse has actually occurred or the suffering has other causes. "It may also no longer be possible to clarify this," says the animal shelter manager.
