Colombian Boca forward Sebastián Villa, accused of exerting gender violence by his ex-partner Daniela Cortés, was released from prison. The decision was made by the judge of guarantees Javier Maffucci Moore on the afternoon of this Friday, after the xeneize attacker gave an investigative statement through a videoconference.

Villa - sponsored by his lawyer Martín Apolo - is charged in a criminal case for "minor injuries with aggravated coercion", for which the Penal Code of the Argentine Nation provides for prison terms ranging from 5 to 10 years. In addition, Fernando Burlando, the complainant's lawyer, announced that he had not yet filed "two more complaints" against the attacker of the Ribera club.

Boca, through its president Jorge Amor Ameal, has already established its position that it will not adopt any decision until Justice is issued. Ameal even asked that there not be a "media lynching" of the footballer who is also a member of the Colombian soccer team.
