Pseudo-propositions cover the real issues under populist politics

The commonality of elections is the operation of issues, which can be true or false, or completely false. Taking Hong Kong as an example, many people set the central government's "hope" for Hong Kong to become "one country, one system" as an important issue. If the central government wants Hong Kong to implement "one country, one system", there is no need to spend a lot of money, just one order. The Sino-British Joint Declaration is not binding on China. The policy of Hong Kong to maintain one country, two systems and a high degree of autonomy is due to China's adherence to and strict adherence to the Basic Law. The British and American governments know this well, but they never say anything about it. Some politicians manipulate a pseudo-proposition out of purely political need. It is easy to confuse the public, but in many cases it works.

If Liang Junyan and Li Huiqiong made arrangements for cutting cloth one month after the Rab incident, wouldn't the farce already end? What is the real issue in political wrestling? Western countries will stand with themselves to resist China, but in fact none of these countries are willing to do a real thing for Taiwan; the US President continues to attack China, but the recent strategic report still emphasizes the importance of maintaining cooperation with China. The aftermath of the anti-amendment riots that occurred last year is still there, and some people continue to put forward the "five major demands, all indispensable", but is it possible? These are all fake issues promoted by politicians and opinion makers, just like Hong Kong independence, which has been a false proposition since the beginning.
Hong Kong is a society ruled by law, and abiding by the law is regarded as a core value. Upholding justice depends on the implementation of the rule of law, but in reality the law is formulated by those in power, and it is inseparable from the operation of politics and power, and even escorts power. This is the true political ethics of modern society, and it is the same for both the United States and Britain. The pursuit of justice is a matter of course, but misunderstanding the relationship between power, law and justice will only bring unrealistic imagination. Why do some people always think that they represent justice, and imagine that the law will serve the justice they define? It may be that politicians and speculative scholars have put forward some fallacies and unrealistic imaginations, confusing everyone, or the people may be willing to be deceived.

But for those who only know how to seek private gains, provoke alienation, do not do specific work, and talk in vain, why does society give them the opportunity to fish in troubled waters?
Just after publishing this article, the central government announced that it would formulate a national security law for Hong Kong. Once again, power is the backing of politics, and the political slogan is vulnerable to law and system. If you choose to continue to sleep, you will not see the real issue.
