A promising future awaits our national table tennis player Obeida Al-Zaza.
Al-Zaza was born in Hama in 2005 from a sports family. His father, Abdul Raouf Zaza, was a referee in the game of soccer, while his sister Hind is currently the most prominent Syrian and Arab football player and guaranteed her eligibility for the next Olympics.
In a statement to Lana, the player of Al-Nawaeer Club and the national team, Obaida Al-Zaza, explained that he started practicing ping-pong in 2013 with the encouragement of the previous player Tasnim Al-Nabhan and he managed to win the Republic Championship in all age groups in which he participated from 2014 to the current year, pointing out that he was keen to participate in all tournaments Domestic and competition for her title to ensure participation outside.
Al-Zaza pointed out that he won the title of West Asian Championship for the Cubs U-12 category in Qatar in 2015 and the sixth place in the Asian Championship in India for the Cubs in the following year and qualified for the quarter-finals in the Oman International Tournament with the participation of 23 countries two years ago.
And won the title of the Asian Championship in Saudi Arabia under 15 years old last year and the third place in West Asia in Jordan under 18 years and achieved the first place in the West Asia Championship this year and guaranteed his qualification for the Asian Championship to be held in Thailand.
Al-Zaza pointed out that his ambition does not stop with the aforementioned tournaments and participations, but rather strives to develop his skills and capabilities with a view to reaching the world and participating in the Olympics in 2024 and achieving an Olympic medal in addition to participating in the world championships, explaining that he continues his training throughout the year with the encouragement of his father and sister in order to preserve Get fit and be ready to participate in any local or foreign championship.
For her part, the head of the Technical Committee for Table Tennis in Hama, Lara Sadir, pointed out that Ubaida Al-Zaza is a talented player and is working to develop himself well and has the ability to be an Olympic champion and even a world if the appropriate conditions of external camps and material and moral support are available to him.
