"We want to go into the next negotiations in July and August and then decide," Hofer told the picture on Sunday . Tagesschau (ARD): Corona mixes up plans by Jan Hofer 

The corona crisis * is  currently jeopardizing not only Hofer's professional plans, but also his free time, as the family man explains. Hofer, who recently underwent a faux pas during a program, wanted to visit his brother, who lives in Spain, for a long time: “I could well imagine being there for half a year, it would certainly be a lot of fun for both of us. Just put your feet up. ”

Nothing will come of this for now. In his role as head of the Tagesschau , half a year in Spain would not have been possible anyway. How long he will continue to hold this post seems ultimately open.

Tagesschau (ARD): Jan Hofer on Corona measures: "Doubt whether people adhere to it"

In the interview, the 70-year-old, who shocked fans in 2019 with a fit of weakness in front of the camera, also spoke about the corona measures in Germany. He could not understand the behavior of some people. 

“At the beginning, I thought you had to do it with really hard bandages. What you did and what also worked. Now I just hope people stick to it - but I doubt it. I was on my bike on the Alster last Sunday and was amazed at how cuddly everyone was sitting there. ”He strictly adheres to the hygiene rules and always wears a face mask *.
