Prime Minister and Alternate Prime Minister Mentioned First for Netanyahu's Law Opening • "My Friends and I Have Full Confidence in the Law and Law Enforcement System" • Minister of Justice Nissnakorn:
Defense Minister and Alternate Prime Minister Benny Gantz (Blue and White) for the first time today addressed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's trial and tweeted in the Twitter account that "like every citizen, the prime minister has a strong innocence as well, and I am sure the justice system will hold a justice with him." .

Gantz added: "I reiterate that my friends and I have full faith in the legal system and law enforcement. At this time, perhaps more than ever, we must act as a state and as a society for unity and reconciliation, for the State of Israel and all Israeli citizens."
Justice Minister Avi Nissenkorn also responded to the opening of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's trial and tweeted in the Twitter account that "Prime Minister stands strong and I wish him to prove it in court."
As with every citizen, the prime minister is also presumed innocent, and I am sure that the justice system will hold a justice trial with him.
I reiterate that my friends and I have complete confidence in the justice system and law enforcement.
At this time, perhaps more than ever, we must act as a state and as a society for unity and reconciliation, for the State of Israel and for all Israeli citizens.

Nissenkorn added: "We have been blessed with a high quality and impartial legal system. I have no doubt that the legal process will be conducted in a timely and fair manner." Justice Minister's remarks, like Gantz's, are largely contrary to those of their Likud cabinet members - including Minister of Internal Security Amir Ohana, Minister of Transport Miri Regev, and the Minister of Government-Knesset Uncle Amsalem - who have attacked the law enforcement system in recent days Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit.

Nissenkorn also said: "As elected officials of a Jewish and democratic state, we must maintain the justice system's strength and focus on civic and unity activities."

Nissenkorn, like other prime ministers in general and blue and white ministers in particular, took part this morning at the first working session of the new government, held just hours before Prime Minister Netanyahu's trial began.
