"Hitler Alligator": 3.5-meter animal stays in Berlin for three years - and is found by accident

Three years later, British soldiers found him by accident and the alligator was handed over to the Soviet authorities. To this day, it is  "a mystery" where the animal has been, as the Moscow Zoo thinks. When Saturn arrived in Moscow in July 1946, the first rumors arose that it had been part of Adolf Hitler's personal collection, as the zoo explained in its message.
