The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the foreign interference in the internal affairs of the People's Republic of China and stressed the importance of respecting the "unified China" principle.
A statement issued today by the ministry's spokesman, Abbas Mousavi, stated that "non-interference in the affairs of other countries, the maintenance of territorial integrity, and respect for the national sovereignty of the countries of the world are among the clear and consistent principles of Iranian foreign policy."
China confirmed last Thursday that US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was working to blackmail the HKSAR government under the pretext of protecting human rights.
