It was the ratification that he will seek to avoid getting fully into the confrontation and at the same time sent another political message. "They are not going to put me in the ring when they want to, " he had said upon receiving the first blows at this stage, both from Kicillof and Alberto Fernández and ministers such as Ginés González García. Vidal addressed the warning to the outside and also to the intern of Together for Change , as a brake on those who asked that he come out to give the debate with public appearances.

Kicillof remarked in the Quinta de Olivos that he doubled the number of beds in the district to face the most critical stage of the pandemic and pointed to Vidal again. "The Province comes from a structural deterioration and a very strong abandonment ", assured the governor during the announcement of this weekend. Vidal was especially surprised by the criticism in this case, with the presence of Horacio Rodríguez Larreta , one of the main allies of the former Buenos Aires president. The President, as in passing, at one point endorsed the governor's sayings and took the opportunity to question Mauricio Macri: "In the years Axel was talking about, there was no Ministry of Health."

The mayors Néstor Grindetti (Lanús) and Jorge Macri (Vicente López), the deputy Cristian Ritondo -ex-minister of Buenos Aires Security- and the radical legislators Martín Lousteau and Mario Negri, among others, supported Vidal and referred to the 28 years of governments Peronists in the province.

Vidal had entered a kind of political quarantine after his electoral defeat and resumed activity in recent months with face-to-face meetings and by Zoom, mainly with Rodríguez Larreta and the mayors of Together for Change. Also with virtual meetings with supporters and with leaders from the interior. In the last one, with references from the PRO of Córdoba, he spoke of "fighting" and representing the demands of a sector of the middle class, SMEs and small producers, with his sights set on the legislation of next year.

“Know that I am here, that is what I wanted to convey to you. I am here to fight it, to accompany them, to be close to people and to show that there is another way . I am convinced that there is another way, "said Vidal at that meeting, and listed proposals for economic assistance to productive sectors:" We are a democratic political space. We will respect that Alberto Fernández begins and ends his mandate, but in between we have an opportunity to strengthen our representation in Congress . For what? So that these projects can be carried out ”.

He had also held talks by Zoom with leaders from Santa Fe and La Pampa, and this week he will continue with Chubut and then Corrientes. Installed in the City since the weeks prior to the start of the quarantine, the move to the PH of Palermo caused speculation about an eventual return to that political territory. Without ruling out a candidacy in one of the two districts in 2021, he replies that "there is a long way to go " to avoid for the moment any sign to that effect.
