Cologne - Mourning for Julitta Münch . The former WDR presenter and reporter is dead. She died last Thursday (May 21) in Lohmar in North Rhine-Westphalia, the WDR announced on Sunday evening. The journalist turned 60.

Münch  was the first moderator of the ARD "morning magazine" in the early 1990s and thus went down in history. She hosted the show together with Jürgen Drensek, later she switched to the radio. Before that, the Düsseldorf native studied political science, economics, sociology and psychology and completed a journalistic traineeship in 1989.

“The early death of Julitta Münch makes us very sad at WDR. The radio was her passion. She was an accomplished journalist and excellent moderator, ”WDR director Tom Buhrow said in the message. "The audience appreciated their approach."

Julitta Münch: Mourning for WDR presenter - she shaped the traditional program "Hallo Ü-Wagen"

For the radio station WDR 5 Münch moderated the programs "Morgenecho", "curiosity is enough" and since 1997 also the traditional program "Hallo-Ü-Wagen", which was discontinued at the end of 2010 and since then only rarely in the form of extra editions on the occasion of special ones Events is broadcast.
