Municipalities in Ile-de-France and Oise: we will vote in 315 municipalities on June 28

2020-05-24T18:39:04.452Z

The second round, which will take place on Sunday June 28, will only concern a limited number of cities. But for many, the result remains uncertain

Three hundred and fifteen out of nearly 2000 (1967 exactly)… In total, 16% of the municipalities of Ile-de-France and Oise will organize their second round of the 2020 municipal election on the last Sunday in June. With many uncertainties in many of these cities, often the most populated, where several lists are still in contention and where alliances could weigh on the results of the poll. Overview…

Paris. The question of alliances will be at the heart of this second round in the capital where five candidates can stay. Anne Hidalgo, outgoing mayor PS, now has five weeks to play the rapprochement with David Belliard, candidate EELV. Rachida Dati (LR), she, the only borough mayor to have been elected in the first round, could try to establish agreements with the candidates of En Marche in certain boroughs. Agnès Buzin, the former Minister of Health, confirmed to be at the top of the LREM list, seems weakened. Cédric Villani, he can try the policy of the outstretched hand on the side of the outgoing mayor or LREM.

Hauts-de-Seine. Among the 14 cities, out of 36, remaining in the second round, the most emblematic of the battles will undoubtedly be played out in Levallois-Perret with a vote which must definitively close the Balkany era. Here, the forecasts remain uncertain. Arriving at the head of the first round with more than 34% of the votes, the head of the list of the municipal majority Agnès Pottier-Dumas (LR) no longer has the support of Isabelle and Patrick Balkany. Faced with it, three competing lists are able to maintain themselves in the second round: those of Arnaud de Courson (DVD) (20.8%), Maud Bregeon (LREM) (15%) and Lies Messatfa (Mouvement Radical ) (14.2%). Some could merge, auguring a thrilling June 28.

Seine-Saint-Denis . The second round promises to be uncertain in several major cities in the department, among the 21 communes concerned, such as in Saint-Denis, where the outgoing mayor (PCF) was overtaken in the first round by PS Mathieu Hanotin (24% against 35% ), or in Aubervilliers where the outgoing PCF mayor came only in 3rd position (17.67%) behind the UDI Karine Franclet (25.69%) and the DVG list of Sofienne Karroumi (19.09%) . Ditto Bobigny, where the list of Christian Bartholmé, 1st deputy mayor and candidate (UDI) for mayor, was outdistanced by that of Abdel Sadi (PCF, 37, 65%).

Val de Marne. In the department, 24 out of 47 municipalities have not yet appointed their mayor. If in Créteil, the socialist Laurent Cathala seems to be on the way to an eighth term, the result of the vote remains undecided in many municipalities. In Champigny, the outgoing mayor Christian Fautré (PCF, 34.91%), was overtaken in the first round by Laurent Jeanne (Free!), 39.76%. The second round will also be closely followed in Villejuif, where the communist Pierre Garzon (26.29%), in a duel against the ex-LR mayor Franck Le Bohellec (42.95%), aspires to take his revenge in this red bastion overturned in 2014.

Val d'Oise. Voters in 35 of the 184 municipalities will be invited to go to the polls on June 28 for the second round of municipal elections. Looks should focus in particular on two of the department's major cities. Argenteuil, where we should witness a triangular between the outgoing mayor (LR) Georges Mothron (35.71%), his opponent always the socialist Philippe Doucet (29.26%) and Omar Slaouti (DVG) 11.62%. Then, Sarcelles, where voters will have to choose between the outgoing mayor (PS) Patrick Haddad (39%) and François-Xavier Valentin (DVG) (36.73%), which includes former socialist deputy mayor François Pupponi on his listing.

Yvelines. All eyes will be on Mantes-la-Ville, where the only RN mayor of Ile-de-France, Cyril Nauth, who led the first round with 33% of the vote, could face a united front from the left led by Sam Damergy, who achieved 27% on March 15. Also to be followed is the battle waged by the outgoing mayor of Houilles, Alexandre Joly (SE), who came only second in the first round, behind the list of Julien Chambon (LREM).

Try it . Thirty-three municipalities in the second round in the department and several outgoing mayors of large cities on the right in unfavorable waivers against candidates from the left. This is the case in Athis-Mons, where Christine Rodier (LR) faces Jean-Jacques Rousseau (PS) (31.35% against 33.64%). In Corbeil-Essonnes, Bruno Piriou (DVG) beat Jean-Pierre Bechter (LR) with a score of 34.06% against 30.04%. A peculiarity: Linas, where the five lists of the first round will be found in the second round, none wanting to make an alliance… The ex-mayor was declared ineligible two months before the municipal elections after his conviction on January 7 for fraud, illegal catch of interest and hidden work.

Seine et Marne. Voters in 66 of the 506 municipalities will be called to the polls on June 28. Seven of which have more than 20,000 inhabitants. In Melun, against a background of record abstention (73.5%), the outgoing mayor, Louis Vogel (Agir), with his 45.8% of votes, has a comfortable lead over his two competitors, Bénédicte Monville ( environmentalist-23.2%) and Ségolène Durand (LR-18.3%). In Bussy-Saint-Georges, where local political news resumed as of the deconfinement of May 11, a quadrangular will oppose the outgoing mayor Yann Dubosc (LR), who came out on top after the first round with 41.5% of votes cast, to three opponents: Chantal Brunel (LR), 19.9%, Laurent Moretti (LREM), 17.2%, and Loïc Masson (LR), 12.9%.

Oise. The announcement of the second round of municipal elections notably stirred the candidates of Noyon and Creil. In the first, there are still four in the running, including the outgoing mayor (LREM), Patrick Deguise. In Creil, as in the previous election, Jean-Claude Villemain (PS) will have to face his two main opponents: Hicham Boulhamane (Génération Creil) and Michael Sertain (LR).
