In good working order, alongside Netanyahu, Moses and Allovitz, representatives of another central party in the cases in question had to sit on the bench today: representatives of Bezeq, Walla and Yedioth Ahronoth.

These companies, or in the "corporate" legal jargon, are legal entities that have a central role in the events and share the criminal responsibility that is alleged to result from them. According to the indictments in files 2,000 and 4,000, those who enjoyed the alleged bribery or attempted bribery were not only Elovitz and Mozes as individuals, but also the companies they headed. "Bezeq" and its shareholders have earned hundreds of millions of shekels from the various benefits, according to the media's logic, which according to the reporter's logic have been floundered in exchange for sympathetic coverage on the Walla website. So does "Yedioth Ahronoth": If the bribery scheme had started and "Israel Today" would have reduced or disseminated it, Yedioth Ahronoth would have earned a huge fortune from the disappearance of its only competition in the national press.

This is a well-established and central norm in criminal proceedings in Israel, and it is enshrined in the regulations that former State Attorney Shai Nitzan himself refined about six months ago. "The point of departure is that as much as there is legal and evidential infrastructure to prosecute a corporation and there is a public interest in prosecuting the corporation, prosecution must be prosecuted. In this sense, there is no difference between individual and corporation," the state attorney's statement said. In the Holyland case, for example, where Olmert was convicted, the corporations were prosecuted.

For some reason, Netanyahu's files are all the opposite. Corporations out there, and reasons? nothing. The court refused to respond to our press inquiries on the matter, and in legal proceedings taken by attorney Michael Dvorin, he encountered a silent wall, culminating in a backing given by the Supreme Court to the court's silence: A petition filed by Dvorin and Lavi was rejected even before the state was required to provide answers , And the petitioners incurred expenses.

The cases against Netanyahu are tainted with selective enforcement from beginning to end. Beyond the fact that he was investigated and charged with offenses in which others have never been charged, even within the cases themselves there is equivocal clarity: Netanyahu, Elovitz and Moses - yes; But "Bezeq", "Walla" and "Yedioth Ahronoth" - no. When in that crime only some of those involved are prosecuted, something rotten from the root.
