The results reflect that more than 64% of the respondents agree that Hong Kong has the responsibility to maintain national security; 52% of the respondents believe that it is undesirable for Hong Kong to fail to legislate on Article 23 of the Basic Law in the 23 years since its return.

The results reflect that more than 64% of the respondents agree that Hong Kong has the responsibility to maintain national security; 52% of the respondents believe that it is undesirable for Hong Kong to fail to legislate on Article 23 of the Basic Law in the 23 years since its return.

 According to the survey results, 71.7% of the respondents agreed that "implementing the Basic Law is of great significance to maintaining one country, two systems and maintaining Hong Kong's prosperity and stability." In addition, 64.7% of the respondents agreed that “as a special administrative region under the People ’s Republic of China, Hong Kong has the responsibility to maintain national security and ensure that national interests are not harmed.” 26.2% of them disagreed.

Regarding the protection of national security in Hong Kong, 54.1% of the respondents agreed that "Hong Kong has already seen a situation where foreign forces and Hong Kong independence forces have converged and endangered national security." 37.7% of them did not agree.

Regarding the failure of the SAR Government to legislate on 23 Articles in the 23 years since the reunification, 52% of the respondents said that they were not ideal, and 31.3% believed that they were ideal. 55.8% of the respondents expressed no confidence that Hong Kong can complete the legislation of Article 23 of the Basic Law in a short period of time, and only 23.4% said they were confident.

Regarding "the National People's Congress makes a decision in accordance with the law and authorizes the NPC Standing Committee to formulate relevant laws for safeguarding national security in Hong Kong", 57.7% of the respondents expressed their understanding of this decision, and another 42.3% did not understand it.
