The police arrested 396 people (234 men and 162 women, 12 to 70 years old), including 180 students. It is understood that about 150 of them were detained at the North Point Police Station. Some district councillors said that all persons arrested under the age of 18 have been released, but some have not been released.
In the early hours of this (29th) morning, there were nearly 100 relatives and friends at the peak. They continued to wait outside the North Point Police Station. During the period, the weather turned bad, and there was a slight rain. Some people were released afterwards. Some arrested persons stated that the charges on their signed confessions were different from those on the police who finally printed bail papers.
