A new report revealed that the aviation sector in Turkey suffered heavy losses during the first quarter of this year following the outbreak of the Corona virus pandemic.
The Turkish newspaper Zaman quoted Turkish Airlines as saying in its financial report for the first quarter of this year that "huge losses have been inflicted on the aviation sector due to the forced interruption due to the outbreak of the new Corona virus," explaining that "those losses amounted to about 2 billion and 23 million TL during the first quarter of This year ”compared to losses of one billion 250 million pounds during the first quarter of last year.
The authorities of the Turkish system decided to suspend flights with more than 60 countries due to the outbreak of the Corona virus, and Turkish Airlines witnessed a major collapse, especially in light of the reduction of its credit rating.
