The videos show him helping to prepare recipes ranging from Macaroni and Cheese to Turkish Menemen, with a little 'tasting' and comments along the way.

His mother, Ashley Wian, told CNN that the videos started as a way to share her son's excitement in the kitchen with friends and family.

“Cooking is just one of many practical things Kobe does at home. He has so much fun doing it and has such a great and lively personality that I decided to record it to originally share it with friends and family, ”he said.

“We started her Instagram Kobe Eats in late February. He had around 200 followers until April 15 and then he started jumping: 100K, 200K, 500K… we definitely didn't anticipate that! ”

Wian said that she and Kobe's father, Kyle, have been delighted to hear that their son is putting a smile on so many faces around the world, especially at a time when it is so necessary.

“It makes us feel like we are doing something right as parents by raising a child who has the ability to make anyone smile! We always get messages from people who say how contagious their personality is, ”said the mother. "We also love that you have encouraged parents to take their children to the kitchen and sit down and eat as a family, something that is extremely important in our home."

The couple "care about learning" and Wian says the kitchen is the perfect place for Kobe to learn and explore, no matter what the mess.

“Research new ingredients, feel new textures, learn practical skills like pouring, picking up and measuring. That's why it all started, another practical thing you can learn a lot from. He has honed so many motor skills simply by helping me. Yes, it gets messy, but that's it. A disaster is just a disaster! It can be cleaned! The memories we make will last forever. ”

Her cooking show has also reached some milestones: In a video, the baby can be heard saying "dada" for the first time.

Kobe loves the camera and tries the ingredients. What is your favorite thing to do? "Anything with cheese, mainly because he can eat it," says his mother.

And even when it makes a mess, his faithful dogs, Kevin and Kelly, are happy to join in and help with the cleanup.
