Spain has registered in the last 24 hours only one death linked to the epidemic caused by the new coronavirus, which has reached 27,119 deaths, the Spanish Ministry of Health announced on Thursday.

It is the second day in a row that the daily death toll from coronavirus only reports one additional death. Only 38 deaths have been reported in the past seven days. The country also recorded 237,906 confirmed cases of contamination with SARS-CoV-2, 1137 more than the previous day. The government has however warned that the balance sheet may fluctuate in the coming days due to a new method of accounting for cases and deaths.
