One person died and another was injured in an accident on the highway 16, towards San Severo, in the Foggiano area. For reasons still under investigation, a truck with two people on board, the driver and a passenger, went off the road and overturned several times. The passenger died instantly while the driver was transported to the Policlinico di Foggia. The stretch of road where the accident occurred remained closed to traffic for hours.
His name was Giovanni Li Quadri, he was 56 years old and he was from San Severo the victim of the road accident that took place this morning on highway 16 at the junction for Rignano Garganico, in the Foggiano area. The man was traveling alongside the 63-year-old driver of the vehicle who overturned and ended up off the road. Li Quadri and the driver were going to Foggia where they were supposed to deliver ferrous material. The driver of the Tir, who was injured, is hospitalized and his condition is not serious.
