A jump was recorded Wednesday in the number of dead from covid-19 disease in the UK, after a period of significant decline in the number of dead in the country. 412 people a day have passed from the disease, so 136 people were confirmed yesterday.
The number of contractors has not decreased in the past week and stands at just over 2,000 newly diagnosed patients in the last 24 hours. 37,460 people have died in the United Kingdom from the virus since the first case was discovered in the country. 267,240 infected the virus, including Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Britain is the third country in the world in terms of per capita mortality rate, without taking into account countries where the true number of dead may not have been reported by authorities such as Iran and Russia.
The health crisis has also led to a political crisis in the country after Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who enjoyed peak popularity after overcoming a serious case of corona disease, insisted on protecting his senior adviser, Dominique Cummings, after it violated the state's closure laws.
Johnson faced a senior committee of MPs today who asked tough questions and criticized his conduct in the affair. Johnson was asked if he would read the medical memos that were prepared for him and he admitted that he did not read them, but made sure to keep up to date with the chapters.
