The watchword is "distance". But applying it in the city is not an easy task: where one is already cramped, it is difficult to enlarge the areas dedicated to commercial and leisure activities, to public and private transport. Thus, in the wake of the Covid-19, a war is coming which could radically change our way of life: the war on space. The preachers of the Apocalypse have already invented a word: "carmageddon".
The fear of contagion transfers considerable volumes of passengers from public transport to individual transport, and the car is preferred. The success of carpooling is tarnished in the face of consumers' doubts about the effectiveness of disinfection systems. The personal vehicle is an asset when planning this year's "staycations", vacations at home or in any case within national borders, without train or plane journeys.
