A vehicle fire caused a full closure on the B2 near Puchheim in rush hour traffic on Friday.
Four people were driving in a BMW X5 at 4.30 p.m. on the main road from Fürstenfeldbruck in the direction of Germering when the engine of the vehicle caught fire shortly before the first departure to Puchheim Ort. The occupants were able to free themselves from the vehicle in good time and were not injured. The fire department in Puchheim put out the engine fire, during this time the B2 was temporarily completely blocked. The police then directed traffic from both directions in one lane past the fire site.
