How did the idea of launching this song with Save the Children come up?

Carlos Rivera
"First of all, it is one of the projects that gives me the most joy, when you know that everything that can be raised will go to people who need it, in these moments in which we live, with so many people who are having a hard time, beyond the confinement, losing a job or a family member because of this storm. Sometimes, those of us who are a little better make us wonder what we do to return to life. First I helped with my family to some hospitals, then with my musicians, because we had to cancel all the presentations and we made a fund for them, but I still felt that it was not enough. And this song that I had started writing a few years ago came up, I dusted it off and adapted it to this time. It couldn't be one more song. He wanted the proceeds to go to children in Mexico and other countries along with Save the Children, who are supporting children whose parents were left without jobs, or children who have been left without parents and those who are far from the big cities. We aim to help 100,000 children with this song.

According to Rivera, 100% of the income generated by this song will go to support the most vulnerable girls and boys in the face of the pandemic, seeking to give a message of hope and unity in the face of the global health, social and economic emergency. The lyrics speak of resilience as the ability to overcome any problem and start again stronger.

What does writing this song and including words like "forgive", "advance" "love" and "start" leave you?

Carlos Rivera
I think that of the worst things, not everything can go wrong. It is up to us how we take advantage of and learn from this. We cannot sit or corner ourselves to cry over the terrible. Solutions must be found. We know there are things you can't do, but thanks to technology, you can learn a language, course, or even play an instrument. In fact, I am taking guitar lessons. You have to look for him and turn the situation around. We always say: "now that I have time I will do it". Now is when many things can be done. You have to look for the good to the bad. I have a phrase in the song that says, "The storm will bring calm." Not all the time it will rain and the sun will rise again.

You are a person who helps a lot and does not make it public. What lets you see a child's face when he smiles at you?

Carlos Rivera
(Sighs) It is very easy in this race to make noise and to be seen. When things are not about you and it is about helping it is the important thing. When you help someone else with what you can, it is the heart that is filled with joy. I do not have a foundation as such. What I do is join various foundations of all levels to give something. I am not comfortable being in the public eye.

What did you say about your vinyl titled "Sessions Recorded at Abbey Road" with the London Symphony Orchestra? Did you know he is taking guitar lessons? We invite you to listen to one more episode of Zona Pop CNN, in which the singer and actor chatted from the music studio he has at home.
