Recently, the number of new corona infections in Unterschleissheim has increased noticeably. Several residents were infected in a refugee shelter. The authorities react.
Unterschleissheim - 14 residents of an asylum accommodation in Unterschleissheim are currently infected with the corona virus. This is confirmed by the district office, even if only in the single-digit range, the figures from the city stood out among the generally few new infections. According to information from Munich's Merkur, this is the accommodation on Siemensstrasse. The infected were promptly transferred from there to the quarantine accommodation in Haar; only in one case of a larger family had there been another quarantine solution.
According to the district office, employees of the health department had been at the accommodation for information talks, answered questions and communicated instructions on domestic isolation. To monitor these, security staff are present around the clock who are instructed to report violations to the police if necessary. So far, the district administrative office has never used any coercive measures in the district, "the overwhelming majority of the people were understanding and insightful, and there were no major problems."
Coronavirus and antibody tests arranged
The office also points out that - with a view to shared premises - only individual floors of the accommodation are in quarantine. The other residents are therefore not considered contact persons and can freely enter and leave the accommodation.
The health department is taking a far-reaching measure to obtain better insights into the prevalence of the virus: All residents, security staff and cleaning staff would now be subjected to a corona virus and an antibody test. In this way, not only active, but also unnoticed cases are to be recognized.
