For the first time since March, passengers with Flixbus are on German domestic routes again . The German long-distance bus market leader resumed operations on Thursday (May 28, 2020). Initially, almost 50 stops are driven - before the corona crisis there were ten times as many.
The route network is gradually being expanded based on customer demand . "After a two-month standstill, we are happy to finally be able to return to the streets and give many people the opportunity to travel again and visit family and friends," said André Schwämmlein, co-founder and managing director of FlixMobility. "Our team has used the past few weeks to develop a hygiene concept that enables travelers to travel safely by long-distance bus even in the current situation."

Corona regulations: These measures apply to FlixBus
In order to prevent the new corona virus from spreading , FlixBus passengers should adhere to various security measures. These are the following:
For economic reasons, there are no plans to block seats . If there is demand, the buses will be fully occupied . Flixbus competitor Blablabus announced on Wednesday that it would initially only offer every second place after its planned start of operations in late June.
