The Schlegldorf fire department needs a new tool shed. The Lenggrieser town council sees the same. At his meeting on Monday, he passed the basic decision for the new building.
Lenggries - For councilor Elisabeth Ertl (CSU), there is no question at all. “A new fire station is really needed in Schlegldorf. I think it's the oldest in the whole community, ”she said at the meeting on Monday. Mayor Markus Landthaler (FWG) gave her right. “It is absolutely getting on in years. The new building is absolutely necessary. ”At the moment, however, it is only a matter of the fundamental decision,“ not of the detailed planning, ”emphasized the town hall manager.

However, the committee already got a rough idea. The first sketches were available. "The members of the fire department really did a lot of work there," said Landthaler. Chamberlain Michael Wenig explained why the new building is imperative. The building does not meet the requirements of a contemporary fire station, neither in terms of space nor its equipment. The inventory should therefore be canceled. In its place, a new building with a social wing and a vehicle hall with three parking spaces for the two emergency vehicles and two trailers is planned. The latter could be accommodated in a common parking space.
Costs for community still uncertain
Wenig has already knocked out the funding opportunities with the government of Upper Bavaria. From there, the prospect will be 178,000 euros. They also exist when the new building does a lot of its own work and hopefully the population supports the project with numerous donations.
It is difficult to say at the moment what costs the community will face. "We are still at the very beginning and do not even have any plans," Wenig says on request. The financial planning for the next two years includes 950,000 euros. But that is really just a house number, emphasizes the treasurer. Neither grants, donations nor personal contributions are included here.

There will only be more precise ideas about the expenses if a concrete draft for the new building is available. Here the administration was commissioned by the local council to look for a suitable planner. Real estate negotiations, which may be necessary, are also initiated. The basic decision to start a new building was unanimous.
