The Herrschingen district of Breitbrunn is getting 29 new street lamps. The street lighting issue has also caused displeasure in Herrsching.
Herrsching - CSU councilor Thomas Bader is watching attentively, especially what is going on in his home town of Breitbrunn. At the meeting on Tuesday, he was pleased to see that street lighting was being installed in the Herrschingen district and wanted to make sure that the dark angular path was taken into account. Mayor Christian Schiller answered yes to the question. There and beyond, 29 new street lamps are currently being installed in the municipality. The fire brigade in Breitbrunn also plans to add three more solar lights to the old village church of St. Johannes Baptist.
The municipality of Herrsching has been making the Bayernwerk municipal portal available for use since spring 2019. This portal offers various options for describing and reporting damage to street lighting. The notification reaches the Bayernwerk directly and should be rectified promptly. So the goal. “In the end, however, we had to wait over a year for a subcontractor to replace the street lighting,” said Schiller at the council meeting. "That was really long," he said, even if it made sense to him that the damage reports were collected and not processed individually for each case. The Bayernwerk commissioned a subcontractor for this. Nevertheless, the community had to wait a long time this time.
But now the masts are already stored on Jaudesbergstrasse and only need to be set up. An installation had already been made in the main town of Herrsching at the bus stop Panoramastraße / Staatsstraße and on Baderstraße at the youth center with two or three new locations. Two new lights are still missing on Koebkeweg. 22 locations are planned in Breitbrunn: nine lights along Winkelweg, eight lights on Jaudesbergstrasse and five lights on Am Königsberg. And the Kirchberg will also be taken into account, Schiller assures the council colleague from Breitbrunn. When a tree had to be felled there for traffic safety reasons, the municipality decided to install solar lights there. "That will also happen," said Schiller.
