Worldwide, the launch of the SpaceX missile "Falcon 9" was eagerly awaited, thousands of people had gathered on the Cape Canaveral peninsula to be part of the planned milestone in space history. Because of the corona virus pandemic , access to the spaceport site, which normally allows visitors to watch at launch, was severely restricted. President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pencehad traveled to the US state of Florida to follow the launch live on site. Then the cancellation came, almost 17 minutes before taking off.

Elon Musk's SpaceX rocket launch postponed: it should be the last flight test
The private space company SpaceX was founded by billionaire and entrepreneur Elon Musk and has so far only transported cargo to the ISS. Per Twitter commented NASA chief Jim Bridenstine the reason for the shift. The safety of astronauts is the top priority of NASA. In the morning there was a thunderstorm, the US hurricane center warned of a tropical storm, this message stopped the mission at the last minute. The Elon Musk rocket had to stay on the ground.

The mission's next attempt to start is scheduled to begin next Saturday at 10:22 p.m. (German time) . Then the astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley should try again to launch to the ISS with a "Falcon 9" rocket in a "Crew Dragon" space capsule .
