(CNN Spanish) -  This Friday, the government of Mexico announced the guidelines to be followed in the staggered return of activities, once the national day of healthy distance ends on Sunday.

According to the Undersecretary of Health, Hugo López Gatell, the reopening will depend on the number of cases confirmed by covid-19 in each entity and for this, what they have called the "risk traffic light" will be established.

This traffic light has four colors: red indicates higher risk, orange means high risk, yellow is medium risk and green means low risk.

On the map presented on Friday morning, virtually the entire country is in red. However, they indicated, it is necessary to start walking the route of the normalization of activities.

López Gatell indicated that the map is going to change and each week the 32 entities in the country will be informed of their level of risk and "the states will be responsible for deciding what activities are restarted."

The way to know what color each state is in, is carried out through an evaluation that includes, among others, the trend of occurrence of cases, hospital occupation, as well as the detection of new cases.

The Secretary of Public Education, Esteban Moctezuma indicated that he will only return to classes when the sanitary light is green.

He explained that a series of actions have already been prepared in order to prepare schools and guarantee the health of both students and academic staff.

On the industries that will restart activities on June 1, starting with Mining, Transportation and Construction, it was reported that at the moment, more than 15,000 companies have already registered on a platform created to request an opening permit before the Mexican Social Security Institute. .

Regarding this new stage, the Secretary of Health, Jorge Alcocer warned that, "although Mexicans are united to pave the way to return to the new normal, the race against the coronavirus continues."

He also recalled that covid-19, "is a very active and enigmatic virus, of which we are very ignorant, but I am sure that we will emerge stronger in the return to the new normal."

On Thursday, authorities reported 81,400 cases confirmed by covid-19, as well as 9,044 deaths.

They indicated that the most active part of the pandemic is located in the Valley of Mexico, which includes the country's capital, like several neighboring municipalities in the State of Mexico, where intense transmission continues to be registered.
