Today, the Israeli occupation forces prevented Palestinians from reaching the Ibrahimi Mosque in the West Bank city of Hebron to perform Fajr prayer.

The Director of the Endowment of Hebron, Hafezi Abu Sunainah, told Ma'an that the occupation forces have erected military checkpoints in the vicinity of the Haram and along the roads leading to it and prevented Palestinians from reaching it, and also prevented them from praying in the outer squares surrounding it.

Abu Sunainah denounced the occupation measures aimed at emptying the sanctuary of worshipers, indicating that it represented a new attack on Islamic sanctities sponsored by international covenants that guaranteed freedom of worship.

The official of the file of the Old City of Hebron, of the Fatah movement, Muhannad al-Jabari, said that the arrival to the Ibrahimi Mosque and the performance of the prayer comes after the Palestinian government announced the resumption of praying in the mosques after the closure of three consecutive months in the framework of precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the Corona virus, calling on the Palestinians to come to the campus and pray in it despite Arbitrary occupation practices.

On the twenty-sixth of this month, the occupation forces prevented Palestinians from accessing the Ibrahimi Mosque to perform the Fajr prayer in the context of implementing its plans to Judaize the Mosque and impose its full control on it.
