The Neufahrner municipal council has approved an amendment to the development plan for the Römerweg industrial estate. This should increase the chances of an S-Bahn station being built there.

Neufahrn - The Römerweg business park in the municipality of Neufahrn is to be upgraded. The undeveloped area in the east of the commercial area between the state road 2350 and the train tracks will in future house office, business and administrative buildings, as well as buildings for research and development activities. In this way, it was said on Monday in the local council, "higher quality, labor-intensive trade" should be settled in order to give future S-Bahn stops better opportunities here.

Building manager Michael Schöfer informed the councils that the municipality had received various inquiries from the investors for the vacant space, but their plans were "without jobs". In plain language, this means that only a few employees would actually be found in the business park. However, because that would not exactly increase the chances for an S-Bahn station, the proposed third change in the development plan is now based on "more labor-intensive" companies.

The first draft is available

A first draft developed by the planning association for the outer economic area of Munich envisages a row of buildings that runs gently to the state road and should have a mandatory wall height of 16 to 20 meters and a minimum number of storeys. The plots of land facing away from the state road could then be used as workshop and production areas. It is also planned to build a building at the future S-Bahn station in which typical uses for train stations could be accommodated.

In principle, the municipal councils agreed to this change in the development plan. They asked the administration to carry out the public interpretation. However, Norbert Manhart (FW) emphasized that he could not remember that the local council had commissioned this planning, which he also liked to know what it actually costs. Building manager Schöfer replied that he could not say anything about the costs at the present time, but knew from experience that the planning association for the outer economic area of Munich was generally the cheapest provider.
