"Since the beginning of the Corona crisis, customer numbers have decreased significantly," reports Sabine Riesch, managing director of the "Ois Ohne" in Bad Tölz. But she doesn't see the reason for this in the lack of packaging, as can be found in a normal supermarket. “I think people are currently shopping more pragmatically. They don't stroll, they plan more. ”This means that customers who only buy certain foods from her are lost. For example, there is no fruit and vegetables in the "Ois ohne". In the current situation, however, customers often choose to get everything in one tour, in the organic or supermarket. "Even professionals who work and shop here in Bad Tölz may now be in the home office and therefore no longer come to the store."
Ladles, handles: Everything is disinfected regularly
With the distance rules and the obligation to cover the mouth and nose, further precautionary measures have been introduced in the “Ois Without”. “We regularly disinfect ladles, handles and handles,” says Riesch. The food containers are always closed and are cleaned thoroughly before each filling. This procedure is also a matter of course regardless of Corona. The team had to remove the lunch menu in the shop's bistro in the past few weeks. However, the terrace has been open again for a few days and there is a meal.
Business opening the day before the lockdown
Bernd Steuer does not even know what normal operation looks like in his “Ohn packed” shop: “We opened on March 13, a few days before all restrictions came into force.” At the beginning, he and his wife Martina were very concerned about this made. They feared that the difficult starting conditions would break the neck of the business in Wolfratshausen. The situation is now stable, according to Steuer. But he is convinced that the opening would have attracted more customers under normal circumstances. “We would have made more sales without Corona. But we don't know how much more. ”
Steuer suspects that inexperienced buyers could creep up on the suspicion that unpacked stores are less hygienic than the usual supermarkets. "But that's not true. The products are closed and all containers are disinfected regularly. "
The filling is done by the staff
The “free time” in Bairawies has also been less frequented since the pandemic broke out. "We primarily operate a café, which is connected to a small shop," explains operator Jasmin Seitner-Spangenberg. Because of the corona crisis, it only opens on weekends: "People are simply less on the go."
The range of the unpacked shop is now slowly expiring. The large quantities of which customers can fill up are simply being consumed too slowly. "The purchase of 30 kg bags is not worth it, and I am currently not able to buy expensive cosmetics either," Seitner-Spangenberg regrets. Concerns about in-store hygiene can dispel them. The bottling has been carried out by the staff since the crisis began. "Nobody can get to the products in the tubes, and the chutes are equipped with lids."
