In a corona crisis meeting, the board of VfB Ainhofen decided that bathing in the outdoor pool could not be started under the conditions.

  • The Ainhofen swimming pool is unlikely to open this year.
  • This was decided by the board of VfB Ainhofen.
  • The bath could not start bathing under the conditions.

Ainhofen - The seven-member committee of VfB Ainhofen decided with 5: 2 votes to leave the bathroom closed. This decision was not an easy one. After considering many arguments, the members finally came to the conclusion that the responsibility for the health of bathers at the moment was simply too great. The nonprofit association, which provides the bathing business exclusively with volunteers, cannot be expected to comply with all the required requirements.

The main problem is the distance regulations. In view of the kiosk employees, the team could hardly meet the requirements, and if VfB wanted to open the bathroom, only construction fences would be standing around on the bathing area, the meeting said.

Bathing would be difficult to control

There are still no specific requirements for Bavaria, but due to the requirements for the baths in Rhineland-Palatinate, the board can see how difficult it is to control bathing operations for Ainhofen. VfB does not want to send people home because the specified number of visitors has been exceeded. The necessary control personnel would only cause costs, which the association cannot afford. The board dealt with eleven-page requirements from another federal state and found that under these conditions neither the bathers nor the VfB as open-air pool operator were to be opened.

VfB still leaves a back door open: Should the Bavarian government loosen the conditions in the course of the next few weeks, Ainhofen could possibly still open from the beginning of July. However, the board is clear that opening dates after the beginning of July would amount to inefficiency. If the situation calms down, the association would have enough time to clean the swimming pools, fill up the bathing water and have the water quality tested.
