The US government purchased land for 315,000 in 1948

Hong Kong 01 obtained the tender for the valuable property. It is understood that the property began secret bidding later this week, and the tender was not published by the agency. The bid stated that the property will be sold in the form of "current status" and after-sales leaseback. In addition, "To be confirmed" will be listed on the closing date (to be decided).

According to the Land Registry, the current owner of the land is THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, which was purchased by the United States in 1948 for $ 315,000. The site originally built 6 bungalows, which were originally used as the staff quarters of the US General Embassy in Hong Kong.

The floor price per square foot can reach 200,000

The land area is 94,800 square feet, and the current floor area is 47,400 square feet. The land that can be built can be increased to 71,000 square feet allowed by the Town Planning Board through the land premium. The site has a deep water bay with full sea views. It is a rare luxury site. The price per square foot of land can reach 150,000 to 200,000 Hong Kong dollars. The site can be increased to 71,000 square feet. The market value reaches 10 billion yuan.

According to the bid received by "Hong Kong 01", the existing construction area is approximately 47,382 square feet and the practical area is 45,082 square feet. Neighboring land sold for 5.9 billion the previous year

In 2018, Mingyuan Estate, No. 39 Shoushan Village Road, Shouson Hill, Southern District, held by the descendants of the Zhou Shouchen family, the latest transaction price exceeded 5.9 billion yuan, breaking the record of the most expensive housing estate in Hong Kong, with a floor price of about 85,847 yuan. Mingyuan is located next to No. 37 Shoushan Village Road, which is owned by the US government, but only enjoys partial sea views.
