When will camping holidays in Hesse be possible again? The demand is great
From June 5, 2020, he wants to allow self-sufficient mobile homes for camping again. "You are not dependent on sanitary facilities," says Gerhard Schönweitz. "Later on, all other vehicles and tent guests can come back."
Because the latter usually travel to Hesse for camping holidays in larger groups , everything has to work according to the requirements. “It is important for me to start up the business in an orderly manner. Not that I have quarantine in two or three weeks and have to close it again. "
Most of the long-term campers in Hessen react with understanding. “They are just happy that they can be here and have a barbecue or sit in the sun,” says the campsite operator . Barbara Wittekind also experiences this: "Our guests are very happy to be able to get out again and adhere well to the rules." In Kelkheim, this means : disinfectant dispensers in front of and in the sanitary facilities, which can only be entered individually or as a family, distance markings and an open-air registration.
Camping is partially possible in Hesse, but swimming lakes are still partially closed
One who still has to wait for guests is Peter Duzak. He is the manager of Bavaria 's largest campsite in Kahl am Main . It may only reopen to tourists from May 30, 2020. But there are already many vacation requests from neighboring Hesse on the table. “We are almost completely booked out over the summer. We only have a few appointments in August, ”says Duzak. "We have fewer parking spaces available - to keep the distances." The camping lake belonging to the campsite remains closed. "Of course we hope that the release may also come in parallel with May 30th."
